Responsibilities and functions

The head of the department develops measures for the conservation and restoration of museum treasures, draws up annual plans of the department, recommends methods and methods of conservation and restoration of monuments; The head of the department is directly subordinate to the chief guard; Employees of the department, repairmen, carry out conservation and restoration activities, plans and recommendations; The council on repair work, which is considered as an advisory body for the performed repair work, makes a conclusion. The minutes of this council shall be signed by all its members; Conservation and restoration of museum assets is carried out only with self-explanatory methods and repair materials; It is necessary for the head of the department and employees to record their work on the basis of documents. During the repair work, the product must be photographed before, during and after the repair; The head of the department draws up an application for providing repairmen with materials and tools; It is necessary for the repairmen to regularly inspect the museum objects together with the guards. They should record their condition, and in case of damage, they should quickly notify the chief security guard and take measures to repair it; The repairer is responsible for the condition of the museum objects, for the documentation of the repair works; The repairmen are in charge of the placement and removal of the museum items sent to exhibitions outside the museum and returned from the exhibition in boxes, etc.; Repairmen participate in the work of the purchase commission.
