Bibixonim kompleksi ( Amir Temur jome` masjidi) Markaziy Osiyodagi eng yirik inshootlardan biri hisoblanadi. Tarixchi G’iyosiddin Ali Yazdiy o`zining “Zafarnoma” asarida, “… 801 ( hijriy) yilning Ramazoni Sharif oyining to`rtinchi kunida ( milodiy 1399-yil 10-mayi ) Amir Temur masjid uchun poytaxtning en yaxshi joyini tanladi. Mashhur usnalar va me`morlar bu ulkan imoratning loyihasini tuzdilar va eng saodatli daqiqada uning poydevorini qura boshladilar…” deb yozib qoldirgan. Masjidning qurilishida kuproq Saroymulkxonim –Bibixonim raxbarlik qilgani uchun Bibixonim masjidi, deb ham ataladi. Masjidning umumiy sahni 167×109 m bo`lib , burchaklarida baland minoralar bo`lgan , noma`lum sabablarga ko`ra ular buzib yuborilgan, minoralar qayta tiklangan. Ta`mirlanishga qadar jome masjidi bir-biri bilan bog`lanmagan 6 ta me`moriy bo`laklardan iborat
