Responsibilities and functions

They are appointed and dismissed by order of the general director; The head of the department develops measures to improve the work of the department, draws up annual plans of the department; The head of the department is directly subordinate to the chief guard; The research worker-conservator is directly subordinate to the head of the fund department and fulfills the requirements of the chief conservator; The head of the department and scientific staff keep a strict accounting book of the museum's assets under their financial responsibility; Creates conditions for the preservation of exhibits, provides necessary tools and equipment; He is personally responsible for the condition and preservation of the fund entrusted to him. It constantly organizes the formation, accounting, storage, scientific explanation, conservation and restoration of collections. These tasks also apply to the items in the reserve rooms of the fund and the items on display. When taking over the custody of fund objects, the fund custodian draws up relevant documents and accepts them with the approval of the director. In this document, all objects must be indicated and their state of preservation must be clearly stated; Regularly checks the availability of stored museum objects and provides their scientific inventory; Topographical lists, scientific-informative card files are arranged in the reserve rooms of the fund; Checks the proper operation of the alarm system in the warehouses, the presence of seals; Regularly inspects the state of storage of items, participates in repair work together with repairmen, writes an application for prevention and restoration of items; The work in the department of numismatics and special storage is carried out in accordance with the regulation on accounting and storage of museum treasures made of precious metals and precious stones.
